- Is it really free?
- Yes. Listings are free for everyone, forever — not just founding hosts — and we take 0% commission on every booking. Founding status adds the badge and a year of featured placement on top. Also free.
- So what’s the catch?
- There isn’t one. We make money on optional services — building direct-booking sites and enhancing listing photos for hosts who want that — never on your bookings. If you never spend a dollar with us, your listing stays live and verified all the same.
- Do you handle bookings or payments?
- Never. Your listing links travelers straight to your own booking site. You set the rates, the policies, and the guest experience; the money moves between you and your guest, and we never see it.
- What does verification actually involve?
- Three checks: we confirm you’re a real, reachable person; that you control your direct-booking site (a verification token on the site, or matching calendar feeds); and that your Airbnb/VRBO listing is really yours, so we can cross-link your review history honestly.
- I don’t have a direct-booking site yet — can I still apply?
- Yes — apply and tell us. You’ll need one before your listing goes live, because linking travelers to it is the whole point. Bring your own, or we can build you one: your domain, a synced availability calendar, request-to-book. That’s an optional paid service, and the application has a box to tick if you’re interested.
- How long does founding status last?
- The featured placement runs for a year from the day your listing goes live. The founding badge stays on your listing for as long as you’re listed — later hosts can’t earn it.
- Who counts as a founding host?
- The earliest hosts — the ones who take a chance on a young directory and shape it with us. We’re not going to invent a countdown or a fake “only 12 spots left”: while this page says the offer is open, it’s open. When the founding period ends, we’ll say so here.
